I am a Florida-based screenwriter, producer and film festival runner (Key West and Humphrey Bogart FF), currently food & film lecturer at the Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo. I earned an MFA in Motion Pictures from U. of Miami & am developing my first feature film, ‘Cuba Libre,’ a feminist & race-aware retelling of the Cuban revolution, in the Dominican Republic.
I’ve toured Hemingway’s homes and haunts in the US, Cuba, France, Italy, & Spain; read most of the historical fictions and biographies on the subject; presented at the Hemingway, Fitzgerald, and Pound literary society conferences; studied poetry with Ezra Pound’s daughter at her Tyrolean castle; and translated the poems of Hemingway’s last muse, the Venetian Countess Adriana Ivancich von Rex, into English.
