Heart of the Pines Film Festival brings quality film screenings and events to the heart of “pine country” – East Texas, North Louisiana and South Arkansas. Our focus is to bring films with heart, and those that challenge the audience to push their comfortable cultural boundaries – to see things from someone else’s perspective. We would like to help filmmakers tell unique, impactful stories.

Special consideration is given to filmmakers from Texas, Arkansas and Louisiana, but the festival is open to everyone, including international filmmakers.

The 2016 schedule will begin with a festival in East Texas in April. Then we will hold screenings in Texarkana, Arkansas later in the year.

Screenings were held in Minden, Louisiana (near Shreveport) on July 25-26th, 2015.
