Jehan Patterson is a Writer/Director based out of his hometown of Chicago, Illinois. He previously studied at Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta Georgia. His work aims to encompass nuanced and honest presentations of the human experience in the form of African-descended individuals.

Director Statement

"I give you my first feature film Heart of The City. I wrote this film when I was 19 years old as a sophomore at Clark Atlanta University, and what followed was some of the most enlightening film work I have ever been blessed to do. This project was constructed during a very dark time in my life and I pray it reflects that, and that you enjoy the efforts of my cast and crew in Heart of The City.
