Before finding my way to film and television, I had a career in technology where I did my best to bring creativity to my work developing software solutions. Parallel to that career were creative side outlets as a singer, photographer, and writer for musical theater.
In 2022, I completed an MFA in Film and Television at Mount Saint Mary’s University (Los Angeles) and began working full-time as a writer.
I write character driven dramas and dramedy about people from worlds we rarely see centerstage. My goal is to create deep characters in fully formed worlds where they are forced to find their way because nobody's going to do it for them.
I wrote the song “Hearing You Breathe” a long time ago during a long-distance relationship. This was before video calls and texting. Sometimes when we were on a phone call and there was nothing left to say we’d just say nothing and listen to each other breathe. When I started my MFA in Film and Television, making a mini musical was on my wish list. Eventually everything fell into place, and I was able to create this story around the song.
