Healing its wing

Is a pigeon worth caring for ? Spending hours rehabilitating its wing : does it even make sense ? If only a few people would be ready to do it, at the Faune Alfort health center, people answer « yes » without any hesitation. There, a crowd of volunteers devote themselves into gathering, healing and rehabilitating wild fauna from Île-de-France. Falcons, pigeons, swans, foxes, martens, seagulls… taking care of all these animals, including those categorized as « harmful species », it’s not being sentimental : it’s turning the idea of a human-nature relationship based on care and respect into concrete action. What if spending hours repairing a pigeon's wing was also a way to change the world?
