Healey: Playing the Game the Right Way
Healey is a feature piece on Joesph Healey, cofounder of the American Legion Post 948 in South Scranton. Joe was incredibly influential on the youth baseball scene in his area, as he served as the President of District 11 American Legion, the Scranton Red Sox team, and Connell Park Little League. Joe dedicated over 50 years to youth baseball, and has had tournaments and trophies named in his honor. He was awarded Sportsman of the Year by Scranton Life Underwriters Association, inducted into the PA American Legion Sports Hall of Fame in 1972 and inducted into the NEPA Sports Hall of Fame in 1992.
