Haze is a global filmmaker whose work explores themes of forbidden desires, family, and youth. She seeks to strip the audience to their most honest selves.
Born in Seoul and raised in Seattle, she graduated from Yale University with a degree in Comparative Literature and History, furthering her studies at the FAMU Conservatory in Prague.
Currently based in Osaka as a Parker Huang Fellow, Haze is in pre-production for her anthology feature Four Seasons of Youth, which explores youth through the lens of the four seasons in Japan, USA, México, and Korea. The fall episode Void, filmed in Jeju, South Korea, premiered at the 2021 Yale in Hollywood Film Festival and was invited to the ICU International Filmmaking panel at Cornell University. The summer episode Vain, filmed in Nayarit, Mexico, was a semi-finalist at the 2024 International Moving Film Festival. The spring episode Vigil, shot in Connecticut, is in post-production.
