Dhakāle or Hayle Gallup, is a member of the Tahltan First Nation. Currently, she is an Indigenous Support Teacher within School District 61, an advocate for putting reconciliation into action, a language revitalization activist, planning a land-based educational/adventure program for Tahltan youth, and creating educational film content that sparks dialogue on Indigenous education and reconciliation. She obtained her Bachelor's in Elementary Education at the University of Victoria (UVic) and will soon be entering into UVic's Diploma of Language Revitalization hosted in her own community. She is a life-long learner, doesn't believe in experts, and is excited to learn from and with you through thoughtful dialogue and storytelling.
