Diana Lu major in Directing Department of School of Film Art,China Academy of Art ,under the tutelage of Pema Tseden and HSU HSIAO-MING. Her short film "Summer time with my mother" won the "Best Film" in the short Film competition section of the 7th Malatya International Film Festival and was shortlisted in more than ten international film festivals, including the 17th Tiburon International Film Festival and the 8th Middle East Women Film Festival. The screenplay and editing work "Infinity" won the Grand Jury Prize of 5th Gagarin International Film Festival and was shortlisted in many international film festivals, including the 17th International Human Rights Film Festival and the 4th Lantner International Animation Film Festival. Participated in the production of "Love Education", "The Innocent" and many other theatrical films.
The core starting point of this film is a creative attempt at perspective.I try to return to a kind of fresh eyes from the perspective of a child.In this way, it re-examines the emotional relationship under the anxiety of survival, and captures the strong atmosphere of the "falling middle class" in current China.
As the economy turns rapidly, from the fabled riches to the industrial thunderstorms, I met more "middle class falling" ride-hailing drivers. All kinds of Wechat business pyramid selling scandal strings into the story in a model of chain reaction: the leader of the group constantly made a dream of wealth to entice the followers into the game, and the followers can only turn into the perpetrator, continue to set the trap for lower-level followers to unhook. As the pace quickened, everybody fought harder and harder to find the next target to avoid being the fall guy.
Mei Li is the "new bottom" among them, lured by the harvest, and she continues the dangerous hunt in this tiny car. She pushed hard at life, hungry for change.But existent of the little child is irreversible, the only thing Mei Li can do is to wipe her bottom bit by bit in broad daylight.As a mother, under the turbulence of life, she seems to unford a bit of toughness and tenderness.She is trapped, she bears and struggles to win a real home for his child with her last self-esteem.

这是一次关于“看”的尝试,我希望能以儿童视角,回归一种新鲜的眼睛。以此重新审视生存焦虑下的情感关系,捕捉当下中国浓烈的“中产坠落”的时代氛围。
经济急速转向的当下,从各类暴富神话到诸多行业暴雷,我遇到了更多“中产坠落”的网约车司机。各类微商传销丑闻亦串成了故事的引线——一个击鼓传花式的盘剥模型:上家不断造出暴富梦诱使下家入局,而下家只能变身加害者,继续吸血下下家才能解套。节奏越来越快,人人生怕鼓槌落在自己头上,因而愈加奋力抓住下个接盘者。
梅丽是这当中被收割诱骗的“新底层”,她只能在这辆狭小汽车里继续着击鼓传花的危险狩猎。她努力同生活搏击,渴望得到改变。但孩子是不可撤销的代价,睽睽众目下,她只能一点一点擦干净她的屁股。而作为母亲,在生活的动荡与酷烈之下,似乎又生出一丝坚韧与柔情。她受困,她承担,她忍下那些不堪,拼力用最后的自尊,为她的后座争一个真正的家。
