LOLA 38, People’s Emergency Center CDC (PECCDC), and LA Multimedia invite local Philadelphia-area filmmakers to submit their original short (5-15 minutes) films to be screened and judged in the first ever Lancaster Ave. Harvest Film Fest to be held at the Parklet at The Bank, located at 3750 Lancaster Avenue on Friday, November 22, 2019.

Films can be any type, including: narrative, documentary, experimental, and animation.

In alignment with the values of our sponsor, The Surdna Foundation , all films MUST include themes that represent the following values: justice, equity, inclusion, respect, humility and family.

During a public screening, 8 filmmakers will showcase their films.

Event guests will vote on the film based on the criteria indicated below. A winner will be selected in each of the three categories.

Submissions are open to all filmmakers in the Philadelphia Metro area, but first consideration will be given to filmmakers who live and work in the following zip codes: 19104; 19131; 19151; 19139; 19143.

ELIGIBILITY
- Submissions from filmmakers living or working in West Philadelphia (19104, 19131, 19151, 19143, 19139) will receive first consideration
- Filmmakers who live or work in the Philadelphia Metropolitan region are still encouraged to apply
- Films with a total running time of 5-15 minutes will be considered
- Films must include a theme that reflects the following values: justice, equity, inclusion, respect, humility and family
- Only films completed after January 1, 2018 will be considered
- Films must be submitted by completing this Google Form and attaching a .mov, or mp4 file
- Films can also be submitted via a private Youtube link. If your film requires a password, you will need to provide it in the Google Form
- In the event of a password change or link change after submitting, you must email the Festival at harvestfilmfest@gmail.com immediately with that change so we may update your record. If the Festival is not notified of the change and the link is found to be inactive or the password to be incorrect, the submission may be deemed ineligible.

Evaluation Criteria for audience jury: Film Quality (production quality), Message (aligned with values), Creativity

Originality and Permissions; INDEMNITY

Films must be the original work of the applicants. If a film is based upon another person’s life or upon a book or other underlying work, applicant(s) must secure any necessary rights to make such adaptations. However, it is not necessary to submit the adaptation rights agreements to the Festival. Neither the Festival nor its jurists investigates or attests to the authenticity of an applicant’s statement of authorship or rights secured. By entering the competition, you represent that you have secured all necessary rights.
Applicants are solely responsible for obtaining all necessary rights and permissions for third-party materials included in their films, including but not limited to music, trademarks, logos, copyrights, and other intellectual property rights. HFF expressly disclaims all liability or responsibility for any violations of the foregoing.
