Harmless Creatures
Meredith and Noah were so close until one night. One haunting phone call on a boat and then Noah was gone. A year passes and monsters have mysteriously risen from the depths of the sea. Meredith thought Noah was long dead until she went on an expedition on the boat where she last saw Noah.

This film, Harmless Creatures, is quite possibly my proudest accomplishment. It is my passion project. I wrote the story originally in a creative writing course at my college. Drawn from my experience of having a sibling who went through depression, I created a story about watching someone you love fall apart, but also experiencing depression and anxiety from the perspective of those who deal with mental illness. I hope this film will help people empathize with those who suffer with mental illness. I hope this film will bring awareness to mental health and be something that will make people feel not alone in their struggle and hopefully foster open communication. I hope people will see that people with mental illnesses are not monsters and not to be feared.
