Kia C. Folsom is an emerging filmmaker and director with a diverse background in communications, leadership, and creative production. With a passion for storytelling, Kia has honed her craft through hands-on experiences in both the creative and executive realms. She holds a Certificate in Directing from UCLA Extension, where she recently wrapped up her thesis film.

Kia's journey into filmmaking is shaped by her commitment to growth and collaboration. She recently received a certificate in Directing from UCLA Extension. Kia's drive for learning and her willingness to take on new challenges were key factors in her approach to directing her first video project, which she also wrote, produced, and edited. Though initially unsure about acting, Kia played the lead role after pursuing a few acting classes with the Last Acting Studio in Los Angeles, CA.

As a director, Kia brings a unique vision, blending creativity with her leadership background. She has previously led teams in diverse fields, including public affairs, customer experience, and communications. Kia's leadership experience includes managing teams of specialists, coordinating campaigns, and giving presentations at major events.

Her skills as a storyteller extend beyond the camera—Kia is also a dedicated content creator, having written and produced internal communications for corporate environments and serving as a moderator for community events. As a director, Kia is committed to creating impactful stories that resonate with audiences, focusing on meaningful narratives that explore complex human experiences.
