Director Statement

Growing up in a household with mental illness, I learned from an early age what it was like to be thrust into a position with its own set of expectations. I also learned what it was like to fail in that role. This premature ego death made me reevaluate how I see myself and who I want to be. It was an incredibly important part of my path to growth and self discovery. By drawing from my own experiences, my hope is to tell a story, about assumed roles, that resonates with people who are struggling in similar situations, so they feel supported and reassured that it gets better.
