Cherie Antoinette is a filmmaker from Atlanta, Georgia. Born and raised in the home of "Gone with the Wind", Cherie was shrouded in the art of storytelling from a young age, gravitating to poetry and spoken word performance, before finding a voice as an actress. After a decade of acting, Cherie returned to her roots and began crafting screenplays. Her favorite genres are comedy and psychological thrillers; however, her favorite genre is one that fuses multiple. Outside of the arts she is a Registered Nurse. Her viral tweet in the year 2020 was received by over 60 million viewers. It was in this moment that all of her life experience began to click, and her identity as a filmmaker was forged. Her company Pathway Cinema is dedicated to deepening the viewers awareness. Outside of our minds, bodies, and hearts, Cherie hopes to create art that ignites souls to live with intention from moment to moment. Her films create the much needed pause to a busy and often mundane existence.
My mission is to expand my experience as a black woman and share stories that relate my world experience, while also recognizing my worldview is not the only black woman experience. My stories are unique enough to relate to all backgrounds. I believe my point of view matters, and that's why I exist. At the moment, Hard Drive, is my mission. It’s an endearing coming- of - age story for a new generation and I can’t wait to offer them the series they always knew they needed. I can’t wait to do this over and over with the same group of odd ball independents. I just cannot wait.
