WHEN THE CHOREOGRAPHER ARTURO CANNISTRA' AND I, THE DRAMATIST, DECIDED TO STAGE A PERFORMANCE
ABOUT ART,it was the year 2019 and we couldn't imagine that shortly afterwards we would enter in a long lockdown because of
Pandemic of Covid. So I wrote the Drama called HARMONY and the choreografer began to set the stage. But it was impssible to
perform the drama because of the pandemic. Well Cannistra' decided to put on anyway the drama, to give an important opportunity
to the young dancers, in a very difficult moment for ART , CULTURE and THEATRE! Why their expectations should be frustrated!
The deep meaning of ART is just in the title of drama HARMONY , that is CONDIVISION, CONCORD, CREATIVIYY, BEAUTY,
IMAGINATION, EMOTION. Besides all this, we had the extraordinary opportunity to shoot a part of the choreography in the
studio of an important and famous Artist, ALFONSO BORGHI, and this made particurarly suggestive the performance . WE are
deeply grateful to the Artist who has given a great contribution to the staging of this CHOREOGRAPHY in which even the masks
are fascinating!!!.

Arturo Cannistrà , Born in Messina Sicily Italy, he trained at the Accademia Nazionale di Danza, from 1980 – 84 he joined the corps de ballet of the Teatro Comunale in Florence directed by E. Poliakov as a soloist and principal dancer, with choreography by E. Poliakov, J Russillo, L. Massine, M. Petipa, G. Balanchine, M. Pokine, M. Béjart, dancing with étoiles of the caliber of R. Nureyev, C. Fracci, P. Dupond, M. Fontaine. In 1984 he joined the Aterballetto, directed by A. Amodio and since 1998 by M. Bigonzetti. Since 2003 he has been the artistic director of the special projects of the Fondazione Nazionale della Danza – Compagnia Aterballetto. In 2003 he began active collaboration with the FNASD as part of the "Read to Dance" project and brings educational shows throughout Italy, such as Cinderella, The Magic Flute, Peter and the Wolf, Pinocchio, The Little Prince, The Piano Poet, Tribute to Arturo Toscanini. In 2001 he received the Urban dance career award from the Calabria Region, in 2010 he was awarded the Grand Prix Giuliana Pensi for public training activities in Italy, the Roma in Danza in 2014 in Fiuggi and the Rome Award e in 2023 in Florence.
