Kristóf Lendvai was born on 2001 in Hungary. He is studying in high school, but he has been making short films for years. He has won awards at several Hungarian film festivals.
His film, Halfway (Félúton) Kristóf Lendvai won the main prize of the 27th Hungarian National Student Film Festival (2020) in the category of university students, even though he was only a high school student. Halfway won the best high school film at the Red Dirt Film Festival (US, 2020) and Attila Belus the best supporting actor at the Under the Stars International Film Festival - Scorsese Edition (Italy, 2019).
Nearly Bungled (Majdnem eltoltam) was screened at the West Chester International Film Festival Young Filmmakers Sessions (US, 2018) and at the London Lift-Off Film Festival First-Time Filmmaker Sessions (UK, 2018).
Halfway, the Hungarian short feature was especially made for young people. The story touches a lot of sensitive themes like growing up, adolesence, pathfinding in life and independence.
