Haekal Muthahari studies Film & Animation in Universitas Multimedia Nusantara. He started as an Offline and Online Editor, before focusing as a Film Colorist. In his university, he is an assistant lecturer teaching Ass Director / Producer related classes. Now with stories of his own that he wants to share, Haekal Muthahari is focusing as a Director.

His works both as Editor and Colorist has won festivals such as Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival and has been screened on theaters and OTT services. His first directing role was on F.E.L.L.A (2022) which was a motion captured animated short, followed up by the experimental A.I short film Ribu Ranting (2023) making Kde Domov Muj (2024) his first live narrative short
