Hady Bitar is an award-winning Lebanese filmmaker and scriptwriter, born on April 24, 2000 in Nabatiye, South Lebanon. He graduated with honors from the Lebanese International University (LIU) holding a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts - Radio and Television.
His combined background in dance and theater influences the rhythm and energy behind his visual storytelling. Starting his journey as a dancer in a traditional dance group, he performed at many local and international festivals. Theater has always been Hady's lifeline. Therefore, after completing several theater workshops and training courses, he immediately embarked on a theatrical career. He acted in a variety of plays while volunteering with NGOs. In addition to working as an assistant theater director and playwright for several plays since 2020.
"Leila" (2020) is his bachelor's degree short film which received international acclaim, won Best Film and Best Costume/ Makeup Design Awards at Close Film Festival (Turkey), and was screened at major film festivals around the world.
He has penned scripts for both plays and films. His screenwriting credits include “Sprecato” (2023) short film - APIDGE Award winner for Article 9 of the Italian Constitution Competition, “La Maschera Eterna” (2023) Theatrical text - Honorable Mention Award winner by Concorso Uno Nessunoe Centomila in Italy & "E Andiamo" (2022), which won first place Award at the International Tour Film Festival (ITFF) for Best Short Film.
Hady has worked on numerous film projects, as an assistant director and art director. He is also an expert in inspiring creativity and nurturing the imagination of his pupils. As an Instructor, he believes that the performing arts are a powerful medium for self-expression and personal development. Besides, he is a social media manager and event planner for several institutions and art events, and regularly runs creative workshops in various artistic fields.
