HUMANER
A guy named Jinhyun is an employee who works for a company that invested in a virtual dating system. He is always tired, emotionless, and a workaholic. Jinhyun gets into the test session of the system and meets Gahyun. Even though Gahyun, an artificial intelligence, interacts perfectly as a human being, Jinhyun keeps treating her as a product and tries to evaluate her. As he proceeds, he starts to reveal his dark desire toward Gahyun, and the Administrator of the system was not satisfied with Jinhyun’s behavior and confronts him. However, Gahyun asks the Administrator to delete the system for her.

Min Woo is an Korean filmmaker. During his high school, he was interested in editing and creating a video. He decided to major in film and started his college life in Savannah College of Art and Design. As a student, he dedicated himself on directing and editing. He had a strong desire to shoot film in his own country using his mother language. As an international student, he tries to differentiate his film visually and narratively utilizing his life in both American and Korean cultures. Based on his experience in various production, he successfully developed his filmmaking skills in SCAD.
As technology advances, people lose their humanity.
If virtual reality becomes extremely developed and cannot be distinguished from the real world, can we still consume it like a game?
Or will it be possible to regain the morality and humanity that could have been given up because it was virtual?
SF drama HUMANER poses the question of what it means to be a human through a contrast between "Jinhyun” who have lost his humanity, and Artificial intelligence "Gahyun," who exhibits more human- like traits.
