Director Biography - Divyanshu Asopa

Divyanshu, born in Rajasthan, faced a challenging journey in his teenage years. A neurological disorder confined him to a bed, forcing him to relearn even the most basic tasks, such as writing and walking. However, amidst these difficulties, he discovered solace in the world of cinema, watching a film every day to escape the realities of his life.

Navigating life in a wheelchair, then a walker, and eventually leg braces, proved to be emotionally taxing. However, the shame of his physical limitations would fade away when he stepped into a movie theater to watch a Shah Rukh Khan film.

Divyanshu's physical limitations redirected his path from aspiring filmmaker to becoming an entrepreneur. After completing engineering, he chose to establish his own successful sustainable stationery brand. His company collaborates with craftsmen and farmers, creating meaningful products that make a positive impact.

But for years, Divyanshu's unfulfilled dream kept him restless. Locked in the house, during the pandemic, he took the plunge into screenwriting and finished a screenplay which he is now pitching to production houses. And with "Halves," he begins a new journey while fulfilling his long-standing quest of making films.
