Boss & Co’s latest series Slo Pitch, a mockumentary about a beer league Slo Pitch team will launch it’s second season in June 2022 on IFC and OUTtv. The first season of Slo Pitch screened at the Sydney Webfest, London Short Series Festival and Pilot Light Festival among others, and recently took home Best Short Form Series at the Content Innovation Awards.
Seasons One & Two of Boss & Co’s first series BARBELLE can be seen on Amazon Prime, Bell Fibe TV1, Revry, and Shaftesbury’s KindaTV. BARBELLE has played multiple international festivals including the Cannes MipTv Festival, where it was nominated for best LGBTQ+ series, as well as winning the LGBTQ+ spotlight award at the Toronto Webfest in 2019. Other festivals include Stareable Fest NYC (winner best Actress), NYC Webfest (winner Best Support Actress), The Pilot Light TV Festival UK, , Bilbao Seriesland, Buenos Aires Web Fest, and more.
Boss & Co has produced several short films which have been recognized at numerous international film festivals. Their heist film, Cons and Pros, was selected to be a part of the Telefilm/Cannes Not Short on Talent program, and premiered on Vice.com. Executive Director Karen Knox’s directorial debut, Case of the Massey Bodice Ripping, won best short film at both the Venice Short Film Festival (2018) and the Grand Budapest Film Festival (2019). The Fates, described as a feminist horror fable was selected for the TIFF X Instagram Official competition at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2018.
Boss & Co is run by Karen Knox, Gwenlyn Cumyn, and Michael Schram. Their newest venture, Homeschooled, is set to premiere on CBC Gem, March 2022.
