Guy Longstreet was born in 1986 in Dallas, Texas. He moved frequently as a child and was home-educated through high school. His debut feature Black Jade (2020) premiered at Oldenburg International Film Festival (Nominee, German Independence Award-Audience Award) and was further recognized at Santa Monica International Film Festival (Honorable Mention), San Antonio Film Festival, and Richmond International Film Festival (Nominee, Best of Festival), among others. The Cup (2022) followed and has been recognized at Toronto International Woman Festival (Best Female Scriptwriter, Sasha Grant) and New York International Women Festival (Best Screenplay, Sasha Grant). His short films Hollow (2022) and Parts (2022) have been received at Japan International Film Festival (Honorable Mention); Roma Short Film Fest (Jury Prize, Best Experimental Film); Tokyo Short Film Festival (Honorable Mention); and IndieX Film Festival (Best Documentary Short Film). He lives in New York.
