Gum Saan to Golden Spike
In 1851, Wong Ho Ping leaves post-Opium War China in search of gold in California or "Gum Saan". His journey takes him and his descendants from digging for gold to strikes against the Central Pacific to triumphantly building the transcontinental railroad. The original film includes direct quotes from the Gum Saan Haaks aka gold mountain boys.
