Director Biography - Drica Armstrong

Drica Armstrong, hailing from Elizabeth, NJ is an Award-Winning Screenwriter/Producer/Director. As a child Drica never thought of becoming a writer because she wanted to become a Lawyer. A homework assignment given to her by an English teacher in the 8th grade sparked her interest in writing and storytelling. While attending high school, Drica wrote several short stories and poetry, but starting writing her first novel, Beautiful Liars, during her first year of college. After graduating from Newbury College in Brookline, MA with an Associate and Bachelors degree in Computer Science Drica decided to take her writing more seriously and launch a career in creating amazing stories. Currently, Drica has published several novels, Hide and Seek, Trust No One, Game Over, Betrayal Between the Sheets, under her imprint, Double Take Publication and has since started a production company, Strong Chance Productions. Drica has written and produced her first movie, His Dying Wish, as well as some short films Monday and Guilty. Drica has written for other Producers and Directors as she builds her brand as a writer. Drica is currently working on her next film project while living in New Jersey with her son.

Making movies has served as my own therapy and a window to my imagination. As a Female Filmmaker I find myself creating stories while building a cinematic eye. My love for making movies has become a passion for telling powerful stories.
