Festival update:

Thank you for taking part in the Guernsey International Film Festival.

Whilst we look forward to welcoming you to our island of Guernsey, in these strange times to keep everyone safe and to continue promoting independent films the festival is definitely going ahead with a much bigger audience than we could ever imagine.

Instead of two days of screen time for a Guernsey audience now we have 48 hours of non-stop online film screening covering multiple time zones.

Screenings will be accompanied by online film talks, interactive voting and virtual Guernsey location scouting.

We acknowledge that password-protected live streaming is a change to the original format of a traditional festival. We aim to embrace technology and provide the best online festival experience for our audience and independent filmmakers.

Films submitted to the festival will go forward for selection as before, but if you have any concerns please contact us:

With the support of the Guernsey Arts Commission and Visit Guernsey, we are excited by the potential for online interactive streaming.

We are still accepting submissions and we very much hope that you can see the opportunity in being part of a new era of festival programming and screenings.
