Growing Pains
Logline: A Short Experimental Film about finding wonder from a childhood perspective.
Short Synopsis: The search for childhood wonder becomes harder and harder with age but how does one who didn't get a childhood go about finding it in the first place? This film is a search for the feeling of wonder, and the nostalgia and ache that come with it.

I am a storyteller, filmmaker, and writer currently studying digital filmmaking with minors in creative writing and music at Stephens College.
I want to make films for the reasons I watch them; to inspire, to challenge, to connect and to experience emotions that sometimes you cannot feel without film.
Films are a platform for activism and representation. I aspire to explore the many aspects of being human by creating storylines that push boundaries and call people to action.
This film was created to be an experience, a feeling and hopefully a movement. A movement that propels people to search for their inner child and give themselves permission to be a kid.
As a two person crew, my mother and I went on this film journey together. I desperately wanted to find childhood wonder and be able to pinpoint how it functioned. I came to find that it doesn't work like that. Wonder is not one space, place or object. It is a small moment. Both my mother and I experienced this one moment at different times throughout the production.
It is my hope and intention that the variety of ambiguous images help to create that decisive moment for others.
