Director Statement

At its simplest, this a film about my fear of getting old and my fantasy about going out in a beautiful blaze of glory.

I know that life is going to get stagnant one day. As my body and my youth slowly drain away, the joys of life will slowly drain away with them. Although I like to think that when that starts to happen I will have one last hoorah and go out doing something epic like surfing a giant wave or rescuing people from a burning building, deep down I know that I will most likely just fade away like most people. This film is me coming to terms with that harsh reality through my protagonist King, an aging surf bum searching for his last big wave.
