In 2004, she moved to Los Angeles, California and she studied film at Santa Monica College where she wrote and directed the short film BUY ME A NEW LIFE a film about bullying and school shootings in the USA.
Encouraged by the success of that film, Angeles wrote and directed her first feature film THE PAPER BOAT, which she produced through her production company SinAmor Films. The film won some awards and is on Amazon Prime.
As a Spaniard born in the Mediterranean island of Mallorca, I’ve always loved nature and appreciated our beautiful Earth.
I was inspired to create the Green SuperHeroes 2030 documentary film after my daughter Katia shared with me her interest in becoming an activist to help our planet Earth.
At 6 years old she asked, “Mommy please, I want to save the Earth, please help me.”
I soon found a Grades of Green, a non-profit organization where my daughter and I volunteerd for years. Grades of Green had a huge impact on us. It helped us get to know the environmental issues our Earth is facing such as climate change, plastic and waste pollution and beyond, and how we can help.
I then discovered many other children around the world that were involved in meaningful projects to help the Planet. These children seemed to have superpowers! I felt the urge to tell their stories to inspire other kids to follow in their footsteps and call upon us adults to embrace their journeys.
My research also showed that a lot young people currently suffer anxiety toward the appalling news of climate change. I decided to take a positive approach with this film by showing younger generations that they too can be part of the solution.
I contacted kids from all around the world from the heart of Africa to the Amazon, from California to Brazil and the Netherlands, and invited them to share their stories celebrating our Earth. I believe Earth Day should be everyday. My goal is to imspire millons of children around the world to take care of our Earth.
