Green Bergevin

In Bergevin, a district of Pointe-à-Pitre, the social housing buildings constructed in the 1960s and 1970s to address the urgent housing needs of the time, now stand in disrepair. Within this neighborhood, the many fruit-bearing trees, whose surprising presence might seem out of place, blend naturally with the wrecked cars and crumbling concrete walls. These trees may hold answers to some of our pressing economic, ecological, and social challenges.
