For this documentary, we aimed to capture the story of the historical Greek Ophanage in the Big Island in more detail to inform people. We interviewed an island resident and the main project coordinator to gather information.

Director Biography - Defne Say, Bilgesu Karagöz

Defne Say was born in 2004 in Istanbul, Turkey. After completing a summer workshop at Prague Film School and taking International Baccaloria high-level Film class at Koç High School, she co-founded the Koç Film Club and has educated and motivated younger high school students in film class. She has shot over 20+ short student films and has taken the roles of a director, screenwriter, cinematographer, and music composer in her works. She has covered color theory, queer theory, and other film theories in her short films, mainly focusing on women's rights in developing societies and child abuse. Her main career goal is to direct a feature film and become an aspiring filmmaker, along with her persuasion in the academic field.
