Great Basin National Park | A Day in the Life

One of the most special places in the United States, and a jewel of the National Park System, Great Basin National Park in Nevada has many superlatives: the oldest trees, most decorated caves, diverse wildlife, and the darkest night skies. In honor of the 30th anniversary of its establishment, I present the time lapse film: Great Basin National Park | A Day in the Life. Filmed in spectacular Ultra High Definition (4K) this film covers the park from all of its angles and through all of its seasons. Over three years of filming and 50,000 images taken, please enjoy this ride into one of America's treasures.

Director Biography - Kelly Carroll

Kelly Carroll - park ranger, night sky advocate, photographer, time lapse filmmaker. I spend my week working as a park ranger for the National Parks, and I spend my weekends traveling to remote and beautiful places, capturing them with my camera. I am drawn to photography by the combination of technical processing and artistic creativity that comes with it. The fact that I live in one of the most stunning places in the United States, the Great Basin, is what drives me to create the film I do. I hope you enjoy seeing these films as much as I enjoy making them.
