Mel Rosenberg is a Jewish writer and producer for independent film, television, digital and public radio. She began her work in production at “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” and has since produced and performed independent projects on stages at iO West and at the Upright Citizens Brigade. She produced the short film “Talk Outside,” which was nominated for the Grand Jury Award at the SXSW 2020 Film Festival.
Mel currently lives and works in Los Angeles, where enjoys baking sourdough bread, hand-throwing ceramics and cuddling with her pup, Frankie.
In early 2018, I became obsessed with the Master Sommelier exam and I found myself cramming with information trying to understand the process. GRAPES is a story about the dichotomy between the sophisticated and the messy, the confident and the uncertain, the way all 20-somethings are struggling for validation and also searching for that deep knowing that we are respected by our friends.
