Grandpa Becomes A Ghost

A boy named Mike loved his grandpa very much, but one day, his grandpa died suddenly. At the funeral, Mike saw his grandpa was sitting on the bench. He told his mom, but his mom could not see.
When Mike came back home, he opened the door when someone rang the bell. His grandpa was standing outside as a ghost! The ghost grandpa told Mike the reason he came back was that he left one thing behind, however he could not remember what it was. So, they decided to find out the answer together.

Director Statement

My name is Hongtao (Toto) Tang. As an animator, I am addicted to telling stories and making appealing films. In my thesis project, I concentrated on building up the story smoothly and the atmosphere properly based on my thesis statement, and I felt comfortable using my knowledge of film language and design skills to turn words into visual sequences and provide characters with vitality. In my opinion, making an animation is like building a house. Good pre-production design is like a solid foundation for a house, and similarly provides the right direction for the film making process.
