Michael is a Massachusetts native from a working class family, and the first in his family to attend college. He graduated from Massachusetts College of Art and Design with Departmental Honors in Animation, though he explores art in various other mediums, including woodworking and ceramics.
Before pursuing animation, Michael graduated from Emmanuel College with a double major in English Writing & Literature and Religious Studies, as well as a minor in Gender Studies. He then found how animation, as an expressive and visual medium, could convey narratives and grew excited with the potential.
He also loves dogs, bowties, dismantling the patriarchy, and Golden Girls reruns.
