Growing up in New York in the '70s is a story all by itself, but if you include living in four U.S. cities, three years in Germany, and college, Colleen Franklin aka Lena Brown has plenty to write about. Writing wasn't her first love, as she excelled in several sports. Still, Colleen remained true to her creative side. She began piano lessons and ballet, tap, and jazz at the age of 3. She performed in school plays and stayed active in the local Queens dance community until she joined the Army. Colleen's journaling about her experiences sparked an incredible endless creative flow.

It took a move to California and a challenge from a relative to bring to life Colleen's love of the screenwriting process. It wasn't long before she hooked up with an Atlanta-based production company, Eyes Entertainment, Inc. to begin her film career. Franklin made the long-desired move to Georgia and hit the ground running getting a gig as a Production Assistant on the acclaimed film short, Echo at 11 Oak Drive. Shortly after, Eyes Entertainment, Inc. and assembled cast and crew completed the Amazon.com film, Family on Edge, where Franklin got her first paying gig as a script supervisor.

Colleen continues to hone her craft as a script supervisor as well as through participation in the 48-Hour-Flim-Project. Franklin has written four short films. Colleen's favorite genre to write and watch is comedy and musicals and has several unproduced screenplays under her company Filmmakers Lab and also collabs with Global Media Savant and Urban Artistic Media Group.
