Grace Hankins is an emerging film and video director with a passion for blending dance and cinematic storytelling. A recent graduate of Pacific University, Grace earned a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and Film/Video Production, where she was recognized with the prestigious Outstanding Senior in the Arts, Media Arts, and Dance awards. Throughout her time at Pacific, she developed a unique perspective on storytelling, drawing from both her choreography and filmmaking skills. Grace’s work as a director seamlessly integrates her background in dance, as seen in her debut short film "Broken Without Two," which she both directed and choreographed. The project marked her evolution as a filmmaker, as she aimed to push the boundaries of dance on screen. Her creative vision continues to evolve as she works on expanding her portfolio of dance film projects. Her passion for both dance and film led her to an internship at the prestigious Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival, where she worked as a content creator and filmmaker, capturing performances by renowned dance companies including The Royal Ballet, Parsons Dance, and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. Grace is committed to continuing her work at the intersection of dance and film, crafting visually compelling narratives that celebrate movement and emotion.
