Good Help Is So Hard To Find

“Good Help” is a serialized short form series that follows Brendan and Lizzie, a millennial couple in a constant state of simmering crisis. Each episode, they take the brave step of meeting with a couple’s therapist in order to knock down their emotional walls, open their hearts, and come closer together.

And each episode, the therapist turns out to be an absolute lunatic who scares them away. So they have to find another one...and try again. It’s a comedy!

Director Biography - Jake Isaacs

Jake Isaacs is from Thousand Oaks, California. He studied Film and Psychology at The University of Southern California and graduated with Honors in Multimedia. He worked at DreamWorks Animation as the Art Coordinator for Rise of the Guaridans, Producer for the behind-the-scenes documentary Rise of the Guardians: Creating An Epic, and Script/Editorial Coordinator for Kung Fu Panda 3. At Illumination Entertainment, he was Editorial Coordinator for Minions and Secret Life of Pets.

During his last few years in animation he performed stand-up regularly at clubs including The Comedy Store, The Improv, and Ice House. He left animation after 5 years to write for the 2016 CBS Diversity Showcase. His sketches Seinfelons and Weed Wonka were well received in the final show, and he was hired as Head Writer for the 2017 CBS Diversity Showcase. In that role he managed 80 writers who submitted over 1500 sketches over 5 months.

He then worked as a Showrunner’s Assistant on I’m Dying Up Here (Season 2) and Dynasty (Season 2) while continuing to produce independent shorts and pilots. Credits include: Hypocrite (Producer/Editor), Work Buds (AD), Ze Juice Bar (Writer/Director/Producer), December 9th, 1941 (Writer/Producer), Stakeout (AD), Magic Matty (AD), Lazy Actress (AD), Delusions of Love (Producer). He also shot a sketch on an iPhone that was on the front page of Reddit, his most watched video to date, so go figure.
