Good Bad Luck
On the brink of Christmas Day of 1984, Polish mobster Vladek Kozlowsky goes on the venture of a personal vendetta. Suspecting his wife of cheating, he brings the alleged lover, Andrew George, to a mountain forest for retribution. Here, in the best tradition of the comedy genre, things don’t go according to plan.
Unbeknown to Vladek, the woodland hosts many other city escapees, or, should we say accidental witnesses. After a series of bloodshed, separations and reunions, our heroes will forever remember the Christmas of 1984. Or will they..?

Born and raised in Ukraine, Vadym got his media degree in Poland and, short after, migrated to the US.
He followed his dream of becoming a filmmaker and moved to Los Angeles, where he worked on many popular shows, such as "Star Trek: Picard", "Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett" etc.
Vadym has written and directed multiple projects of his own.
Currently, he resides in NYC, where he continually pushes himself creatively and professionally.
I used multiple storylines in “Good Bad Luck” to explore the power of fate. Characters in the film are guided by good and bad luck, and very questionable choices. Did they just end up in the wrong place at the wrong time or maybe their decisions catered to the outcome? I encourage the audience to draw their own conclusions.
Regardless, if you believe in destiny or not, we wanted to tell a story that is light-hearted but also leaves space for reflection.
On a note of cruel irony: a topic that we ridiculed in the picture was poor and improper firearm safety.
Our dear friend and the director of photography, Halyna Hutchins, was fatally shot during another production which had extremely poor safety standards and regulations.
This should have never happened!
We need to do more as a community to keep film sets safe!
Our passion for film should ensure that those involved in its creation may continue to do so.
