Golem's Breath
A young man travels to Prague to visit his grandmother with the intent to make a film about her relationship with the old city. During his stay, his grandmother’s stories of oppression and despair reignite the memory of an old Jewish folk tale about the Golem of Prague. At night, the man wanders the streets of the old city in search of the mythical creature. On his way, he encounters sights and statues, who all reveal distinct chapters of the city’s lively past, which intertwines with his own family history. In the attempt to reconnect with his heritage, the man tries to establish a physical connection to the city, whose wrinkled and scarred body slowly comes to life and eventually reaches back out to him.
