Director Statement

When we’re young we assume we’ll have it all figured out when we grow up. Then, when we get older, we learn quickly that this is not the case. Life is a continuous journey, which is the theme of the song and the video.

The music video follows a reclusive elderly man as he decides to win the heart of a lady he doesn’t know through dance. I chose dance as the expression of the man’s love because it’s an artistic medium typically reserved for the young, which offers up a beautiful juxtaposition.

While the video is lighthearted it’s meant to convey the reality that no matter our stage of life we all desire to love and be loved.
