Cassandra Oliveira (Brazil, 1980) is from Bahia, resident in Amapá for 18 years, documentary filmmaker, graduated from the International School of Film and TV of San Antonio de los Baños - EICTV-Cuba (2013). She has been working with cinema since 2004, in the execution of the Image-Movement Festival (FIM), where she stayed until 2009, and with video production workshops in Amapá, Amazon, Brazil. In 2012, she participated in the project development meeting Nuevas Miradas - Cuba, with the documentary project “GARIMPO”, about the migration of Brazilians to French Guiana to work in clandestine gold mines. Since then, she carries out investigations and develops audiovisual projects on the theme of mining on the Amazon frontier. She directed several documentaries both in Cuba and in Brazil. Currently, Cassandra develops cinematographic projects for the film production company Castanha Filmes.
