Experiencing Interruptions?

Gold Rush Dreamers in China

The epic changes China is currently experiencing are depicted with an uncomfortable and menacing tone in the media and public at large. We decided to cast aside such second-hand hearsay and personally spent two years directly immersed in high-speed China, following the lives of entrepreneurs in this age of ambition.

In Shenzhen SEG Plaza, the world's largest electronics market, the cost of IC components can be up to 20 times cheaper than anywhere else. The Chinese market, with a population base 60 times that of Taiwan, is a place where ambition knows no limits and many entrepreneurs come to vie for the proverbial pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, living highly-stressed, fast-paced lives. Even though only a tiny fraction of them are destined to succeed, each one embraces the hope that they will be one of the lucky few to soar to great heights. Driven close to insanity in pursuit of success and yet unable to break free from the shackles, Gold Rush Dreamers in China is a captivating mixture of cold realism and a sense of otherworldly wonder.
