Experiencing Interruptions?

God and Quantum Rocket

The movie runs through a man on a train's childhood memories, and at the same time intersperses his own thinking about memories as an adult. Various images taken from their hometowns of China and abroad-almost all shots of no one, but human figures are repeatedly implied-were cross-edited and reorganized to recreate the experience of childhood. The film reproduces a child's subjective and unreal outside world, which is intertwined with the growth and change of his inner world. The author uses images to entrust his thoughts on memory, reality and growth.

Director Statement

I focus on the themes of the connection between psychology, memory, dreams and reality. For me, film is a means of constructing a certain landscape with images- an ambiguous landscape that blurs the boundaries of reality.
