Shreekara Bhat grew up in Udupi, Karnataka and moved to Bengaluru to attend Post graduate college, currently working in a private firm, During graduation, Shreekara interned in a local TV channel (Spandana) in Udupi where he would create and present few small time TV contents, its here when he grew interest about films and film editing which paved a way to a series of multiple trial and error attempts in making some beginners short film contents, but it was only after moving to Bengaluru after meeting some like minded people on being introduced to world cinema masters realised the purpose of filmmaking and decided to take it up in very serious note, after a long process of understanding (still in the process of understanding) the intricate nuances of filmaking and its purpose his first short "Confession of a Thief" was made as an experimental project in order to bring learnt materials into practice, 'Donut' is a similar second attempt in telling stories that revolves around us on our daily mundane routine and might have missed due to our fast paced life. His main goal is to direct a feature film that narrates a simple yet effective human stories that come across our life every now and then also gradually learning to utilize the visual medium in becoming voice of voiceless.
