Jacques Graubart’s life was full of adventure, his relationship with the youngest of his granddaughters, Daniella was mainly based on an awkward silence oh her part in the presence of the charismatic man, Jacques’s jokes and lots of smiles. Throughout the film, which begins with Jacques being reluctant and doubtful to why Daniella is making a movie about him, a friendship develops between the two. Questions about freedom, happiness and arriving home arise while Daniella follows her grandfather, when he makes “Aliyah” to Israel at the age of 94.

Daniella Kertesz, Born 1989 in Jerusalem had been working as an actress since the early 2000's. Her credits include Paramount's picture production "World War Z" and highly acclaimed political drama "Incitement". Graduate of Ecole International de Theatre Jacques Lecoq in Paris and William Esper studio in NYC.
This is my first documentary film that has been inspired by David Bloomberg's biographical book about my grandfather "Wont Forgive Wont forget". My Grandfather was a once in a life time character, a complex and charismatic man who refused to define himself as a victim and worked his whole life to proof that nothing can take a man's spirit away, not even the horrific events he endured during the holocaust. He was an inspiration and a real life hero. These days I am working on a full length feature film inspired by his story.
