Glasgow International Film Fest (GIFF) is a gathering of young and old, experienced and new recruits to showcase their talent and passion in the art of film. We aim to gather emerging talent from around the world in one setting where we can enjoy the works of talented individuals. With live screenings we aim to showcase and promote the work of film enthusiasts, emerging and established filmmakers from all over the world and help them receive recognition in a competitive industry.

Nominations - Films nominated for awards will be contacted on the notification date and also listed on our website.

Screening - Films selected for screening will be notified at least 1 month prior to the festival!
Award winners will be announced at our festival and receive hard copy certificates at our award ceremony along with engraved 'Glasgow International Film Fest' trophy, winner laurels and other prizes!
​We accept films across all genres, We encourage projects such as; documentaries and short film, experimental and many more opening the door widely for newcomers in the industry.
All films are nominated and voted by a jury of film professionals, from an independent point of view.

All films and projects that have made the final selection are able to use the Glasgow International Film Festival laurels on their film posters and social media materials.

The OFFICIAL SELECTION laurel will be available on the website after the first selection will be published.

Other laurels will be provided upon request.

Glasgow International Film Festival Screenplay Competition:

We accept screenplays from across all genres. Please read the following criteria before submitting your Screenplay/Script.
1. The Screenplay has not yet been produced.
2. The Screenplay is between 60-120 pages.
3. No adaptations, must be writers original work.
4. The Screenplay must be in English.
5. The Screenplay must be a completed draft.
6. Writers must be 18 years of age and over.

Rules & Terms

By submitting your film, you agree that Glasgow International Film Fest can use parts of your film (including trailer/teaser/film poster) for promotional purpose.
To submit a film, you must have created the project yourself, own the rights or have permission from the owner of the content to submit the film to us.

Rules and Terms:

1.All films must be made after 2010.

2.Any foreign films must include English subtitles.

3.Festival times may be subject to delay or change.

4.All fees are non-refundable.

5.GIFF is not responsible for broken or non-functioning films.

6.Films do not have to be screened publicly to be eligible for our festival, prizes, or awards.

7.GIFF is a competitive event and unless notified otherwise, all films officially selected are eligible for competition. Not all submissions received are selected for GIFF.

8.All films are nominated and voted upon by a jury of film professionals, from an independent point of view.

9.All genres and formats are considered eligible for nomination at one or more competitive categories.

10.GIFF reserve the right to refuse to screen any submission deemed by the Festival to be inappropriate. Should you wish to question GIFF about their decision, you can contact us by email on gfilmfest@outlook.com.

11.A fee is required upon submission. For payment structures, visit the FilmFreeway website.

12.One entry fee per category. The same film can be entered into one or more categories, but each category requires an entry fee.
