Glasgow Horror Festival is back for 2017! Due to popular demand, this time around we have two days and nights of horror entertainment spread over the two floors of The Classic Grand. The festival is presented by Popcorn Horror, Glasgow's resident horror experts since 2011. The goal is to bring the international horror festival and convention vibe to Glasgow, with some Scottish twists.

The 2017 festival follows Popcorn Horror's successful 2015 'Halloween Horror Night' in the QMU, and the sold out Glasgow Horror Festival 2016. We're back for 2017 for our first two-day festival, bigger and scarier than ever!

The bottom floor will be home to a convention style horror market, where you'll be able to pick up horror comics, merchandise, art, and gruesome snacks. Range of vendors for everything your black heart could desire. Perfect place to chill out, chat with fellow horror fans and support indie horror artists and creators.

In the main hall, we will be showcasing the best of international horror. From scary short programs and feature films, to a fabulously gory drag show - there's a weekend filled with the best horror entertainment ahead.

Of course, we need the best independent horror films from around the world to showcase. Throughout the festival, the screening area will be host to spine-tingling shorts and terrifying feature length horror films. Psychological horror, monsters, gore-fests, body horror, horror-comedy - all sub-genres welcome.

Selected films will not only be screened to a diverse, horror loving audience. Popcorn Horror's website and magazine ( is all about supporting independent horror, and we'll be promoting all selected films to over 100K+ horror fans a month via the site, social media and magazine.

Cara and her team put on a really fabulous Horror festival, right in the heart of Glasgow - not just films, but vendors, events and live shows! From the off, the communication was excellent - the venue was brilliant, atmospheric and accommodating. We were made to feel very welcome and valued from arrival to departure. The audience were very enthusiastic, and we got to meet lots of other people from the horror community across the board. Highly recommended festival! This was topped off with us winning the award for Best Horror Feature for our film "Dogged" - will definitely be entering our next project!
