Director Biography - Carlos Oceguera

Originally from the southern Gulf of Mexico. Carlos moved to Vancouver, BC. He is a visual effects professional.
In 2018, his friends, colleagues and him created Overlooked, a VR film featured at VIFF Immersed the same year. It is currently in its festival run and has thus far been selected for over a dozen around the world. In 2015, the same colleagues and him made “I’m Running for Parliament” and “Let’s Get Serious,” promotional videos for independent candidate Wyatt Scott. “I’m Running for Parliament” went viral on YouTube. He has worked on over a dozen Hollywood feature films as an animator including Pokemon: Detective Pikachu. One of his Pokemon contributions was animating dancing Pikachu for the viral promotional video.
