Twirl
A girl paragliding lands in a forest due to a sudden technical problem. All alone, she takes a walk to get out of there but stumbles upon a ruined and deserted fort. She feels relieved to meet a boy there, thinking he will help her out; but soon she realises that he isn't there to help.

Kavita Datir is a writer and a director.
By 2010, Kavita completed her MA (‘English Literature’ specialization) and Masters in Communication Studies (‘Video production’ specialization) from University of Pune.
She worked as an Assistant Director for various films and TV shows.
‘Kavitachya Kavita’ - an anthology of her Marathi poems with social and feministic content got published in 2013.
In 2014, Kavita directed a short documentary film ‘Babai’ which got critically acclaimed in film festivals across the world.
As a writer-director, ‘Giraki’ is Kavita’s debut feature film.
Besides, Kavita is also associated with a Pune-based social organization.

(Amit Sonawane)
Amit Sonawane is an academician and a writer-director-editor.
Currently, he works as an ‘Assistant Professor’ in Department of Media and Communication Studies in SPPU (formerly University of Pune).
In 2008, Amit finished certificate course in ‘Video Editing’ and joined University of Pune for Masters in Communication Studies (‘Video Production’ specialization).
After working for various post-production houses, he started teaching in 2012.
In 2014, he directed and edited a short documentary ‘Babai’ which got critically acclaimed in film festivals across the world. He also edited three Marathi feature films.
‘Giraki’ is Amit’s debut feature as a writer, director and editor.

Director’s Note
Except a few, every scene demanded fresh location. Being exterior, they depended on natural resources that were out of human control. Hence, shooting ‘Giraki’ in tiny budget was challenging.
