Director Biography - Dan Nicholls

Born out of the Canadian prairies, Dan Nicholls was driven to a love of film at an early age. As a filmmaker Dan has mined offbeat human behavior over the course of several short films to date. Dan’s latest projects as a director are the short films Giraffe and That’s Life (currently in post-production) and the ongoing surreal comedy web series web series Mehlennials. In addition to producing Mehlennials, he served as Executive Producer of the acclaimed feature film Pulk.
Past directorial works include Worst Laid Plans, Green Treatment, and Torture.AVI – the latter of which was an official selection of the 2015 Reykjavik International Film Festival. Other credits as a VFX Coordinator include the TV series Game of Thrones, 72 episodes of Arrow, and the feature films Good Boys and Antebellum.
Dan currently resides in the West End of Vancouver and doesn’t go outside nearly as much as he should. He spends his time enjoying the good things in life with his loved ones while watching, making, and talking about movies every spare chance he can get. You can hear him chatting about flicks each Friday on CFOX FM radio and he maintains a steady career by day as a VFX Producer within the industry.
